The FroGames card
You have 90 seconds. You need to decide where to send Ash, who shoots with the catapult, which room to activate. The timer runs out. The Deadites advance. And that die that was supposed to save you just rolled a one.
WHAT IT IS
Ash, the castle, and 90 seconds of pure chaos
Army of Darkness: The Board Game brings the final siege from Sam Raimi's cult film to the table. Designed by Josh Derksen, Thomas M. Gofton and Aron Murch for Lynnvander Studios, the game translates the film's third act into a cooperative tower defense game with a twist: you have a real-time timer to plan each turn. It's frantic, it's chaotic, and it's true to the spirit of the film.
Each round begins with a real-time programming phase: you simultaneously choose movement, attack, and special action cards, and assign characters to the various sections of the castle. When the timer runs out, everything is resolved turn-by-turn — move Ash and the allies, activate rooms and artillery, roll dice to defeat Deadites. Survive long enough to use the Necronomicon to save Sheila, then face Evil Ash. If he wins, the castle falls.
What they say abroad
"This is a fast-paced, co-operative, tower defense game"
This is a fast-paced, frantic cooperative tower defense game
— Nick Barrucci, CEO Dynamite Entertainment
It's the classic siege defense setup, but with a timer that forces you to decide quickly and a deck of cards that can sabotage your plans. We'll see it at the table in February 2026, but on paper it promises controlled chaos and non-stop quotes.

Army of Darkness: The Board Game — Bundle
The game officially supports solo play (1-4 players). In solo you manage multiple characters during real-time programming, maintaining the pressure of the timer. It loses the frantic multiplayer negotiation, but the castle defense experience remains complete.
The siege elements
What you have available to defend the castle
Ash's trunk
Modern technology in the Middle Ages: firearms, explosives, anachronistic items that become defense upgrades. Draw cards and choose what to use, always with the ticking clock.
The castle rooms
Each section has activatable abilities: artillery, traps, strategic points. You need to decide where to position the characters and which rooms to use, all in real-time.
The Necronomicon
You can recite spells to turn the situation around, but it's a double-edged sword: wrong words lead to consequences. It's your ace up the sleeve and your possible ruin.
Combat dice
Six custom dice resolve encounters with Deadites. Roll, count successes, eliminate zombies. When the dice don't roll, even the perfect plan collapses.
