FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
You think you've got victory in the bag, press the button, and watch the board betray all your plans. Then it's the other person's turn to make the same face.
WHAT IT IS ABOUT
A Connect Four that moves under your hands
Orbito was created in 2022 from an idea by Yossef Sonnenfeld and published by FlexiQ Games. The idea is simple: take the classic connect-four and add an unexpected element. The board doesn't stay still.
Each player has their colored marbles. The goal is to align four of them horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. But at the end of each turn, you have to press the central button: all the marbles rotate one position along their concentric orbits. What seemed like a sure victory turns into a trap. And vice versa.
What they say abroad
A game that forces you to think three moves ahead knowing that everything will change.
— FroGames
Each game lasts ten minutes. You always play another one.

Orbito
What's in the box
Few pieces, infinite combinations
Colored marbles
Each player has their color. The marbles are your army. Place them well, because in a moment they won't be where you put them.
Rotating board
Three patented concentric orbits. Each orbit rotates independently when you press the central button. It's the element that changes everything.
Orbito Button
The star of the game. You press it at the end of your turn and watch the marbles move. Sometimes it saves you. Sometimes it punishes you.
Rulebook
Two pages. Read once and you're ready. You learn the rest by playing.
In ten minutes you'll already know if Orbito is the game you'll pull out every time you have ten minutes and want a challenge.
A five-act game
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
The cautious start
Carefully place the first marbles. No one knows yet where it's best to be. The board is empty and every position seems good. But you're already starting to understand that rotation will change everything.
The first rotation
One of you presses the button. The marbles move. And you realize that what seemed like a plan already needs to be redone. You start looking at the board differently.
The battle for control
Now you start blocking each other. You place a marble in your opponent's orbit to ruin their line. They do the same. The tension rises because every move is a calculation.
The decisive move
One of you sees the opening. They place the marble, press the button, and watch the marbles align diagonally. Or so it seems. Then the other finds a way to break the line.
Victory (or a rematch)
Four marbles in a row. Game over. But you're already setting up for a rematch. Because ten minutes is never enough.
How to play
The flow of each turn
A turn lasts thirty seconds. You place, you press, you watch what happens.
Choose an empty space on the board and place your marble. You can also move an opponent's marble to an adjacent empty space.
It's your turn to press. All the marbles on the board rotate one position along their orbit. This is mandatory.
Check if anyone has four marbles in a row, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. If so, game over. If not, it's the other player's turn.
The game continues until someone wins. Matches are fast. The tension is not.
Why it's different from the others
Six elements that make the difference
Patented board
The rotating concentric orbits are a unique system. There's nothing else like it. FlexiQ Games has patented the mechanism, and it works smoothly and precisely.
Every turn changes the board
In other abstract games, the board remains static. Here, every turn reorganizes the positions. What was an advantage becomes a disadvantage. And vice versa.
Direct sabotage
You can move your opponent's marbles. This is a move few abstract games allow. And it changes everything: you don't just defend, you attack.
Spatial calculation
You have to imagine where the marbles will end up after rotation. It's a constant mental exercise. Whoever best predicts the rotation wins.
Pure speed
Ten minutes. That's the length of a game. No downtime, no pauses. It's a concentrated duel.
Accessible yet deep
The rules are two pages long. A seven-year-old can play. But the tactical depth emerges after a few games. It's the kind of game that grows with you.
How it ends
How to win
There's only one way to win. And a thousand ways to lose focus.
Victory
- Align four marbles of your color horizontally, vertically, or diagonally
- You can win either by placing a marble or after pressing the Orbito button
- Victory can also come through rotation creating an unexpected alignment
Defeat
- Your opponent aligns four marbles before you
- You press the button and the rotation creates an alignment for the other player
- You move an opponent's marble which, instead of blocking them, helps them win
Orbito is an abstract game unlike any other. Fast, tactical, and every game leaves you wanting a rematch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Orbito FAQ
How long does a game actually last?
Ten minutes is the average. The first games might be longer as you get used to the rotation. After a few rounds, you can play in five minutes. But you always play more than one.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. The recommended age is 7+, and that makes sense. The rules are very simple, and the visual mechanism of rotation is immediate. Children quickly understand how it works. Then, of course, whoever calculates the rotations best wins. But access is very quick.
Is it a game of luck or strategy?
Zero luck. Every game is pure tactics. You have to calculate rotations, predict your opponent's moves, and choose when to attack and when to defend. Whoever thinks best wins. Always.
Does the rotating board break easily?
The mechanism is solid. FlexiQ Games has patented the system, and the construction is designed to withstand hundreds of games. The central button is robust, and the orbits glide smoothly. It's built to last.
Is it available in Italian?
Yes, this is the Italian edition published by FlexiQ Games. The rules are in Italian, and the components are language-independent. Orbito is an abstract game, so there is no text on the marbles or the board.
Orbito is an abstract game for 2 players designed by Yossef Sonnenfeld and published by FlexiQ Games. Each game lasts 10 minutes and is suitable for ages 7 and up. The game takes the Connect Four mechanism but introduces a patented rotating board: at the end of each turn, all the marbles move along concentric orbits. The main mechanic is tactical alignment combined with direct sabotage of opponent's marbles. Orbito is perfect for families, gateway gamers, and anyone looking for a fast and deep abstract game.
