In Potato Man , the central trick-taking mechanic is overturned by the golden rule: "Must Not Follow." Contrary to the norm, you cannot follow the suit played. If there's a red card on the table, you can't play red. This creates a painful decision bottleneck as the hand empties.
The technical genius lies in the Potato Man (very low values) and Evil Potato (very high values) cards. Normally, the higher value wins, but if Potato Man meets Evil Potato in the same hand, the little hero instantly wins the trick.
