Surviving the night on the Shattered Plains
Bridge Nine is the official introductory module for the Cosmere Roleplaying Game, written by Brotherwise Games for tables that already have the Stormlight Handbook and want to start playing. A complete 48-page adventure, designed for 1st-level characters, set in the chasms of the Shattered Plains.
The incipit is a Sanderson classic: an expedition crosses a suspension bridge, a chasmfiend appears out of nowhere, the bridge breaks. The crew of survivors — some bridgemen, two soldiers, a scholar — ends up in the canyons. From there, the long climb out. Real combat, weighty moral choices, the chance to discover secrets of the Lost Radiants hidden among the ruins.
The module is designed to teach the Plotweaver system scene by scene: the first combat introduces initiative cards, the first Plot Die arrives when needed, the chasmfiend escape endeavor teaches extended scenes. It's a textbook disguised as a story. One evening, six friends, a story that lingers.
