Network building, card-action combos, and long-term strategic development.
1) Each player develops his own personal underwater network
You play a mind selected to createlivable cities under the oceans.
You have your own personal board to build ondomes, tunnels and production structures, trying to optimize resources and spaces without wasting shifts.
2) The heart of the game is the card-slot combo
During the game rounda card from your handand you match it withone of the three colored action spaceson the central scoreboard.
If thepaper color matcheswith that of the slot, you getboth the action of the board and the effect of the card, creating combos that are essential for good planning.
If the colors don't match, you can still place the card, but you will getjust the action or just the effect, making the choice less efficient.
3) Actions allow you to collect resources and expand the infrastructure
The main actions are toobtain materials, build domes, extend tunnel, install production buildings, acquire new cardsAndimprove the initiative(which determines the future turn order).
Construction is expensive but essential: cities give points especially ifconnected, enhanced and well supported by compatible production buildings.
4) Cards have different uses and must be used at the right time
In the deck there areabout 220 cardsdivided intodifferent types and activation times(instant, permanent, one-time, production, etc.).
Building a card networksynergisticand not random is decisive for scaling points in the production phases and in the final score.
5) End of game and final score
The game is toughthree eras, each with a defined series of shifts.
Finally the score is calculated based onconnected cities, advanced cities, production, goals, cardsAndinfrastructure bonuses.
Whoever created the underwater ecosystem winsmore efficient, sustainable and timely developed.
