FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
Someone draws a Priest that flips the table. Someone curses looking at their hand. Someone says 'I didn't see that coming'. No one forgets that game.
WHAT IT IS
Fourteen cards that change the game's rules
This mini-expansion for Tameri brings 14 new Priests to the Nile, each with unique and very powerful effects. These aren't subtle variants: they are cards that overturn plans, disrupt established strategies, and bring unpredictability to the center of the table. The Italian edition is overseen by Post Scriptum.
During the game, each Priest can be drawn and activated, triggering effects that no player had accounted for. This isn't about added complexity in the rules, but about radical variability: the same moves that worked yesterday might be useless today. It's designed for those who already know Tameri and are looking for more memorable, less predictable, more chaotic games.
What they say abroad
Tameri with the Gifts of the Gods is a different game every time. You never know what's going to happen.
— FroGames
These cards don't add rules. They add chaos. And that's exactly what you need after the first ten games.

Tameri: The Gifts of the Gods Mini Expansion
The Priests also work in solo play, but their greatest impact is in interaction with human opponents. Solo play offers variety, not the same tension as multiplayer.
What's in the box
Fourteen Priests, fourteen ways to flip the table
14 Priest cards
Each has a unique and powerful effect. They are not alike. Some alter the flow of the game, others directly attack opponents, and others temporarily change victory conditions.
Immediate effects
These are not passive bonuses. They are events. When a Priest enters play, everyone at the table feels it. Someone gains, someone loses, no one remains indifferent.
Marked random element
You don't know when you'll draw which Priest. That's the point: randomness becomes a narrative mechanic. Games are remembered for the Priest that changed everything in the last round.
Easy integration
They are shuffled into the base deck without modifying the rules. No complicated setup, no additional phases. Just more unpredictability within the same game flow.
After this expansion, every game has a different story. And someone will always say: 'if you hadn't drawn that Priest...'
A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Familiar Setup
Set up Tameri as usual, but this time, shuffle the new Priests into the deck. No one knows which ones are in play. No one knows when they'll appear. The game starts the same, but everyone knows something could explode.
The First Priest
Someone draws the first expansion card. They read it aloud. The table pauses for a moment. Everyone has to recalibrate what they were doing. It was a safe move, now it's not. The game changes pace.
Rising Tension
Now everyone knows there are other expansion cards in the deck. Every draw is a risk. Someone holds a Priest in hand, waiting for the right moment. The tension is no longer just about resources, it's about timing.
The Legendary Moment
Last round. Someone plays the Priest that turns everything around. Those who were ahead curse. Those who were last recover. Someone else held onto the wrong card. This is the moment you remember after dinner.
End of Game
The game ends as always, but everyone is talking about the Priests. The winner says they played well. The loser says that card was too strong. Someone asks: should we play again right away?
How to play
The flow of each round (unchanged)
The expansion does not modify the phases of the base game. It only adds new Priest cards to the available pool.
Each player performs their actions as in the base game: moves followers, builds, draws cards. Nothing changes in the fundamental rules.
When you draw cards, you can draw one of the new Priests. You recognize them immediately (they have unique effects). Decide when to play it, just as you would with any Tameri card.
When you play an expansion Priest, read the effect aloud. Everyone must hear it. The effect resolves immediately and can change the game state for everyone.
After the effect, the game continues as usual. Priests do not add phases: they enter the existing flow, modify it, then disappear.
Why it's different from other expansions
Six distinguishing features
Game-changing effects
These are not minor bonuses. Each Priest has a powerful effect that can overturn an established situation. They are designed to surprise, not to balance.
Intentional randomness
The designers explicitly state: this expansion increases the random element. It's not a flaw, it's a design choice. Those seeking total control won't appreciate it. Those seeking memorable games will.
Recommended after experience
The manual itself says: only add it after you've thoroughly learned Tameri. You need mastery of the base game to appreciate how much these Priests disrupt established dynamics.
Plug and play
No new rules to learn. Shuffle the cards, play. Integration is immediate. No need to reread the rulebook or change the setup.
Multiplied replayability
With 14 unique Priests in the deck, each game sees different combinations. Not just which card comes out, but when and in what order. No two games are ever alike.
Moment generator
The stated goal is to make games more memorable and fun. Not more competitive, not more balanced: more tellable. It works.
How it ends
Victory and defeat (unchanged)
The expansion does not change the victory conditions of the base game. It changes how you get there.
Victory
- You win as in the Tameri base game: victory points, objectives, territory control (depending on the chosen mode)
- Priests can give you a decisive advantage in the last round, but they don't win on their own
- Victory is sweeter if you used a Priest at the perfect moment
Defeat
- You lose if you don't adapt your strategy to the Priests that appear
- Holding onto the wrong card, waiting for the perfect moment, can cost you the game
- Underestimating the effect of an opponent's Priest is often fatal
This expansion is not for everyone. It's for those who want Tameri to surprise them again, even after ten games. And it works.
Frequently asked questions
FAQ on Tameri: The Gifts of the Gods Mini Expansion
Do I need the base game to play?
Yes, absolutely. This is a mini-expansion that adds 14 cards to the Tameri base game. It is not playable on its own. You need to master Tameri before adding these Priests.
Is it suitable for players new to the game?
No. The manual itself advises only adding it after becoming familiar with Tameri. The Priests increase randomness and unpredictability: those who don't know the base game well risk feeling overwhelmed rather than intrigued.
Does it unbalance the game?
It depends on what you mean by balance. The effects are powerful and random, so yes, they can turn a game around. But this is intentional: the expansion is designed for those seeking variability and memorable moments, not for those seeking perfect symmetry.
Can I choose which Priests to use?
Technically yes: you can choose to shuffle in only some Priests instead of all 14. But the beauty of the expansion is precisely not knowing what's in the deck. If you want more control, maybe this expansion isn't for you.
Is it available in Italian?
Yes, this edition is in Italian, curated by Post Scriptum. All 14 Priest cards are translated and perfectly integrated with the Italian base game.
