FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
You decide the path. You make the shot. You find the excuse.
What it's about
The golf course you build, shot by shot
No green needed. No caddy needed. Just twenty-five hexagonal wooden tiles, a couple of thumbs, and a touch of coordination — the kind everyone overestimates until they have to hit from a bunker with their wrong hand.
Table Golf Association, designed by John Garcia and published by Meeple Mania Games, is the first dexterity game that faithfully replicates golf: you decide the course layout, then flick after flick you try to get the ball into the hole with the fewest possible strokes. The wind changes. Obstacles punish. You are the scoreboard.
It's learned in five minutes. Mastered — maybe — in a hundred games. It works solo, in pairs, in teams, or as an eight-player tournament. It's the game that makes even losers laugh, because losing at table golf is never trivial.
The only game where the final shot — the one that should have been simple — ends up in the lake in front of everyone.
The secret of Table Golf Association in one line
Every game is a different course. Every shot depends on the wind. Every excuse is legitimate — but not enough.

What's on the course
Your champion tools
25 hexagonal tiles
Front and back, each with a different terrain. Fairway, rough, sand, trees, water, cliff. Build the course you want — easy or sadistic.
The flicking ball
A unique disc with a ball bearing in the center. You push it with your finger. The distance and direction depend only on you — no dice decide the shot.
Wind dice + spinner
Before each shot, roll and spin. Wind strength and direction change every shot — even the most precise shot can go off course.
Pro Player Cards
Each player has a professional with a special ability — no penalties in the rough, maximum distance from the tee, shots with spin. A variant in every hand.
At the end of the game, no one talks about scores. They talk about that shot in the wind that made the ball spin on the edge of the lake.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Building the course
Tiles are laid out on the table. Everyone has an opinion on where to put the bunker. Someone wants the cliff near the green. Someone else is already protesting before the ball has even been touched. The layout is decided — and you already know what kind of evening it's going to be.
The wind dice enters the scene
Before the shot, you roll the dice and spin the spinner. Strong wind from the northeast. The ball that was supposed to go straight down the fairway ends up in the rough. Nobody expected it. Everyone laughs — except for the one who has to hit with the wrong hand's thumb.
The impossible shot
You're in the bunker. You have to use your thumb. The green is six hexagons away. Everyone is watching you. Flick. The ball slides, spins on the edge of the water, stops on the fairway. Half a second of silence — then a collective shout. This is the moment you'll be talking about a week later.
The final putt
We're on the green. Three strokes so far — under par. The putt is two hexagons away. It should be simple. The ball starts well, curves slightly, stops a millimeter from the hole. Bogey. The silence is devastating. The rematch is immediate.
The trophy changes hands
End of hole, strokes are tallied. The one with the lowest score takes the TGA trophy — the small physical trophy included in the box. You take a picture, you post it. And you immediately question it again: a tougher course, the same group, an immediate rematch.
How to play
The flow of each hole
Four phases that repeat shot after shot. You understand everything in five minutes, you mess up forever.
Before playing, place the hexagonal tiles to create the hole. You decide where to put fairways, rough, sand, water, trees, and cliffs. Each layout is unique.
Before each shot, the active player rolls the wind dice and spins the spinner. Force and direction change with each shot and can move the ball after the stroke.
You flick the ball with your finger — direction and force depend only on your hand. If you land in an obstacle, the next shot is penalized: wrong hand, reduced distance, changed position.
Whoever completes the hole with the fewest strokes wins that hole. You mark it on the scorepad, dismantle the course, and build the next hole — always different.
Why it's different from others
Six reasons why TGA works
Infinite modular course
Twenty-five double-sided tiles mean you'll never play the same course twice. Replayability is structural, not accidental.
Real dexterity, not dice
There's no dice to decide the shot. You flick the ball. The responsibility — and the glory — is always yours. That's what makes the table roar.
The wind changes everything
Every shot starts with a dice roll and spinner. The wind can reward an imprecise shot or ruin a perfect one. It adds unpredictability without removing responsibility.
Hazards with unique mechanics
Each hazard changes the rules for that shot. Sand: hit with your thumb. Rough: non-dominant hand. Water: drop and penalty. It's not just "lose a point" — it's a different kind of shot.
Pro Cards with special abilities
Each player has a professional with a unique ability — immunity to hazards, extra distance, spin shot. They balance the playing field and add personality.
From 1 to 8 players, always
Solo, in pairs, in fours, as an eight-player league. There are no player combinations for which TGA doesn't work. It adapts to the group, not the other way around.
How to win
Golf is golf: the one who hits less wins
The logic is that of real golf. The fewer strokes you take, the better you do. But getting there requires control, luck, and a bit of courage.
Victory
- Get the ball in the hole with the fewest strokes on the hole
- In multi-hole games, the one with the lowest total score wins
- Hole-in-one? The physical trophy is yours — and the story lasts for months
How to lose
- Extra strokes on critical holes that add up in the final score
- Falling into obstacles repeatedly: each penalty costs strokes
- Underestimating the wind — the most common and most expensive mistake
Table Golf Association is the game that works for everyone: passionate golfers, families, friends who have never held a club. You build the course — the ball does the rest.
Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ about Table Golf Association
Do you need to know how to play golf to enjoy it?
No. The flick mechanic is learned in one shot, the rules of the hazards in five minutes. Real golf helps to understand the scoring logic, but it's not necessary. Those who have never held a club often outperform experienced golfers — because they have no preconceived notions of how to hit.
With 8 players, doesn't it get too long?
It depends on how many holes you play. A single hole with 8 people lasts about 20-30 minutes. For long evenings, you play a mini-tournament with multiple holes — the rules also include a league mode specifically for large groups. With many players, the pace remains high because everyone watches every shot.
Does the ball slide off the table?
It can happen with strong shots on very smooth surfaces. The most common advice in the community is to use a non-slip mat or a pot holder under the tiles — it holds everything in place. Some players use the separately sold playmat. The wooden tiles still stay firmly on normal surfaces.
Are there expansions or different editions?
Yes. In addition to the base version with wooden tiles, there is the Family Edition with cardboard tiles, which is more affordable. Expansions include the Driving Range, the European pack, and the Meeple Beach Edition with 28 coastal-themed tiles. All are compatible with the base game.
Is it suitable for children?
From the indicated age of 10, yes — but it largely depends on the child. The required dexterity is not high, the concept of scoring is immediate, and the physical trophy is a powerful motivator. Younger children can play in a free version without keeping score — the pleasure of flicking doesn't require rules.
Is the rulebook available in Italian?
The game is in English edition, but an unofficial Italian translation of the rulebook is available as a free PDF on BoardGameGeek. The rules are simple and visual — even without the translation, you can start playing by following the diagrams.
