Evolve Luffy to Gear Fourth. Your opponent plays the Weakness card. You counter with a crew attack. He transforms his Captain. Your Attack Bar is no longer enough. Change tactics.
WHAT IT IS ABOUT
Tactical Clashes in the One Piece Universe
One Piece: Pirate Battle is a tactical card game published by Topi Games in 2026. Player versus player, crew versus crew, in the theater of the New World. Designer and artists have not been announced at the time of publication.
Choose one of the 10 legendary Captains from the One Piece universe and assemble your crew by drawing from the shared Supply Line. Build your Attack Bar, evolve your character to activate special abilities, and deploy Crew and Combat cards to attack, defend, and counter-attack. Mid-game transformations change the rules of engagement: a weak Captain can become a devastating threat.
What they say abroad

One Piece: Pirate Battle
The cards you use
Captains, Crew, and Combat
Captain Cards
10 legendary Captains with unique abilities and transformations. Luffy, Zoro, and other iconic characters. Each Captain has an evolutionary path that activates during the battle.
Crew Cards
Allies, ships, special attacks. You draw from the shared Supply Line and assemble your crew. Each choice deprives the opponent of resources.
Combat Cards
Generic cards for attacking, dodging, counter-attacking. They work with any Captain and allow you to respond to enemy moves in real time.
Weakness Cards
Hit the opponent's weak points and break through their defenses. They are the way to punish unbalanced crews or poorly protected Captains.
🎲How to playThe rules in four steps▼
How to play
The flow of each turn
The game is based on a cycle of drawing, building an Attack Bar, and sequential attacks.
Players draw cards from a shared pool. Crew Cards and Combat Cards enter their hand. The first player to draw gets access to better cards, but leaves fewer choices for the opponent.
You deploy cards to the Attack Bar to increase your offensive potential for the turn. Each card adds strength or abilities. The higher the bar, the more devastating your attacks.
You play specific Crew Cards from your Captain and generic Combat Cards. You declare targets, direct attacks or combos. The opponent can respond with counterattacks and dodges.
If conditions are met, your Captain transforms and unlocks new abilities. Damage is resolved. Decimated crews leave the game. Play proceeds to the next turn.

What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Choose your Captain
Place your Captain card on the table. Luffy, Law, Kaido, Big Mom: each has unique abilities and an evolutionary path. Your opponent chooses theirs. The game begins here, with two playstyles already on a collision course.
Draft from the Supply Line
Draw cards from the shared Supply Line. Allies, ships, attacks. Every card you take is a card your opponent won't have. Build the Attack Bar, assemble your crew. Whoever draws best starts with an advantage.
First skirmishes and Weakness
You deploy the first Combat Cards. Your opponent responds. Someone plays a Weakness Card and hits a weak point. The Attack Bar is no longer enough. The plan needs to be revised.
Captain's Transformation
One of the two Captains transforms. New abilities, stronger attacks. The match changes: whoever was at a disadvantage now has an extra weapon. The other player must adapt or fall.
Victory by pressure
The opposing crew is decimated. The enemy Captain suffers the final attack. The match ends due to sustained pressure and well-placed combos. Whoever managed timing and resources best wins.

No public game data

English edition only
Topi Games is a French publisher, but the game is currently only available in English. Card names, ability texts, rules: all in English. High language dependency.
Unknown weight
BGG reports weight 0 (data missing). Topi Games declares age 7+, but we don't know how deep the combo and timing system is. It could be a gateway game or have hidden curves.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
The match ends when a player defeats the opposing crew and overwhelms their Captain.
Victory
- Eliminate the entire opposing crew and attack the enemy Captain until defeated
- Maintain sustained pressure with ability combos and well-built Attack Bar
- Utilize your Captain's transformations at key moments to turn the tide of the match
Defeat
- Your crew is decimated and your Captain is exposed to direct attacks
- You fail to defend against Weakness cards that hit your weak points
- The opponent evolves their Captain before you and dominates with superior abilities
If One Piece is your world and you want to bring fast tactical battles between legendary Captains to the table, this game promises exactly that. We look forward to getting our hands on it.

FAQ about One Piece: Pirate Battle
What mechanics does One Piece: Pirate Battle use?
The game uses Campaign / Battle Card Driven: draw from a shared Supply Line, build an Attack Bar, hand management, mid-game character evolution. Each Captain has unique abilities that modify the standard flow.
Is it suitable for those unfamiliar with One Piece?
Technically yes: the mechanics work regardless. But the game thrives on its license, and each Captain evokes events and abilities from the series. If you've never watched One Piece, much of the charm is lost.
Are there any reviews or playthroughs available?
No. The game was announced in 2026 and at the time of publication there are no verifiable reviews from international outlets or gameplay videos. The only source is the official presentation by Topi Games.
Does it play well with 6 players or is it better with 2?
We don't know. BGG reports 2-6 players, but no source describes how multiplayer works beyond the 1v1 duel. It could be team-based, free-for-all, or a different format. Insufficient data.
Is it available in Italian?
No. The edition for sale is in English. Topi Games is a French publisher, but no localized editions have been announced yet. Cards, rules, texts: all in English.
