In Things in Rings , nothing is as it seems. At the center of the table are three intertwined rings: a sort of Venn diagram waiting to be deciphered. One player is “The Knower”—the only one who knows the secret rules. Everyone else must guess the logic behind each area, one object at a time .
This deductive board game and party game for 2-6 players challenges you to think outside the box. Each card represents an object, and your goal is to place it in the correct circle... or at least try. If you get it wrong, the Knower puts it back in its correct spot, but meanwhile, the others are already observing and thinking.

🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Set up a 2 or 3 loop Venn diagram
The “Knower” (the one who knows the rules) arranges the hard circles on the table, forming them so that they intersect, creating up to 7 distinct zones.
2. The Knower hides logical rules for each circle
Each circle has a secret rule determined by the Knower — it may concern the word, attribute, or context of the “thang” — a vehicle for a game of inductive deduction.
3. Players place “thing” cards in the diagram
They take turns drawing and choosing an item card to place in a zone. If they get it right, the card stays, and they play again until they get it wrong; if it's incorrect, the Knower moves it to the correct zone.
4. The goal is to get rid of all the cards
The first to exhaust their hand—placing all their "things" in the correct spot—wins the game. Bluffing and intuition help when the rules are still unclear.
5. Learning at every turn and tactical variations
Observing where your opponents go wrong helps you understand the secret rules. There are cooperative variants where everyone tries to solve the puzzle together, and you can adjust the difficulty by choosing two or three rings.
