The FroGames Sheet
You play the Sting Like a Bee card. Ali moves three spaces, dodges the counterattack, and strikes from a distance. Bruce Lee responds with a flying kick that doubles in value if you are at distance 1. The board is small. Distances matter. Every move could be your last.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
Two martial arts icons in a duel that never happened
Unmatched: Lee vs Ali is the set that pits Muhammad Ali, the boxing legend who made speed and unpredictability his trademark, against Bruce Lee, the master of Jeet Kune Do, returning to the scene after its rare 2019 release. Designed by Noah Cohen, Rob Daviau, and Justin D. Jacobson for Restoration Games, with illustrations by Oliver Barrett for Lee and Rob Zilla III for Ali, this set celebrates two opposing fighting philosophies in a box that is as much a visual as a playful tribute.
At the table, you choose your hero, pick up their customized deck, and move around a compact arena managing distance. Each card has attack and defense values, many have special effects that reflect the fighter's style: Ali floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee, with quick movements and dodges; Lee responds with explosions of close-range damage and lethal counterattacks. The winner is the one who reduces their opponent's life points to zero first.
What they're saying abroad
"Unmatched is the best two-player game series you can own."
Unmatched is the best two-player game series you can own.
— The Dice Tower
The reprint of Bruce Lee with Ali in a box is a gift for those who missed the original pack and a perfect opportunity for those who want fast, asymmetric, and iconic duels. You understand if your deck works after the first few turns; after that, it's too late.

Unmatched: Lee vs Ali
The Decks
Two philosophies, two completely different decks
Muhammad Ali
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee: cards that reward movement, dodges, and quick attacks at variable distances. The deck reflects Ali's boxing style: hit and disappear.
Bruce Lee
Pure Jeet Kune Do: devastating close-range damage bursts, lightning-fast counterattacks, cards that double in value under specific conditions. Lee punishes those who get too close.
Compact Board
The arena is small on purpose: every movement counts, distances constantly change. There's no room to breathe.
Signed Art
Ali's cards illustrated by Rob Zilla III in a brand new style; Lee's cards by Oliver Barrett, a veteran of the series. Two visual styles for two legends.

🎲How to playThe rules in four steps▼
How to play
The flow of each turn
Each turn is: move, attack, defend. Simple on paper, rich in choices.
Move your hero a number of spaces equal to the movement value of the card you choose to play (some cards boost movement). Distance from the opponent determines which cards work.
You play an attack card: base value plus any bonuses. The opponent chooses a defense card from their hand. Subtract defense from attack: the difference is the damage you deal.
Many cards have text that activates under specific conditions (e.g., "if you are 1 space away," "after dodging"). This is where the depth of the deck comes into play: combos, synergies, traps.
Draw cards until you reach your hand limit. Pass the turn. Check health points: if anyone is at zero, the game ends. Otherwise, start again.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Setup and first steps
You place your hero on the board, draw your starting hand, look at the cards. You immediately understand if you have mobility or if you'll have to play defensively. Your opponent does the same on the other side of the arena.
First moves, first damage
Ali moves first, seeks distance. Lee waits, holding counter-attack cards in hand. The first exchange of blows: someone loses 3-4 health points, and the game is already on. Distances close quickly.
Health drops, options dwindle
You're down 6 health points. You draw a strong card, but the distance is wrong. You have to spend a turn moving, but your opponent responds with a combo that costs you another 4 points. Every choice is a calculated risk.
The decisive blow (or the comeback)
Someone plays the strongest card in the deck. The other responds with perfect defense or takes the damage and crumbles. The legendary moment of every game: when you realize if you've won or if you have to hope for the next draw.
End. One stands, the other doesn't
Health points at zero. Game over. You tidy up the cards, comment on the best plays. Someone immediately suggests a rematch with inverted heroes. It always happens.

Good to know beforehand
Three things you need to know before buying it
Drawing can be frustrating
If you draw poorly in the first turns or find yourself with only movement cards when you need damage, you feel powerless. The game mitigates this with hand management but does not eliminate variance: those seeking total control will be disappointed.
Only two heroes in the box
This box only contains Ali and Lee. To vary combinations, you need to buy other Unmatched sets (each set has 2-4 heroes). The system is modular and compatible, but the investment grows if you want to explore all combos.
Imperfect asymmetrical balancing
Each hero has clear strengths: Ali dominates at range, Lee excels up close. On certain boards or with certain starting draws, one of them has an advantage. Asymmetry is intentional, but it doesn't always feel fair.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
The winner is the one who reduces the opponent's health points to zero. There are no draws, no rounds: it's a direct elimination duel.
Victory
- Reduce the opponent's health points to zero with a successful attack
- The opponent no longer has valid defense cards and takes lethal damage
- Build a card combo that deals massive damage in a single turn
Defeat
- Your health points drop to zero: you are immediately eliminated
- You draw poorly and cannot defend yourself in critical turns
- You position yourself poorly on the board and suffer boosted attacks with no escape
Unmatched: Lee vs Ali is the opportunity to play two legends in a system that rewards replayability and asymmetry. Fast, iconic, tense until the last health point.
