How it works
From the base game to additional captains
Both boxes share the same engine. No extra rules to learn, just a wider roster to explore.
Open the standalone base game and choose from the four included captains: Janeway, Seven of Nine, Locutus, or the Borg Queen. This is where you learn the game's engine.
When you want variety, open the expansion: Worf, Gul Dukat, and two other captains join the roster, each with their own deck and objectives.
Every combination changes the game: Worf vs. the Borg Queen is not the same challenge as Dukat vs. Janeway. With eight captains, there are dozens of possible pairings.
Both boxes include a dedicated automa. You can face any captain from the combined roster in solo mode, not just those from the base game.

What happens at the table

Eight decks of cards on the table
Open both boxes. Eight captain decks lined up on the table — a choice you didn't have before. You bet on Worf, your opponent takes the Borg Queen. Neither of you expected this matchup.
Opposing philosophies at the market
The Borg collective assimilates card after card. Worf, on the other side of the table, chooses honor over efficiency — he refuses an advantageous card because it doesn't fit his code. The game allows it, and rewards it.
A captain you didn't know yet
Before tonight, you had never played Duty and Honor. Now you understand why Dukat plays devious diplomacy instead of direct combat — and why that captain, bought alongside the base game, completely changes the way you read the game.

The victory rules remain those of the base engine: points are counted, regardless of which pair of captains you chose.

- Cards with VP value purchased or developed during the game
- Completed missions: diplomacy, science, exploration, or combat
- Each captain — from the base or the expansion — has objectives that accelerate their preferred path
Defeat
- There is no player elimination: you always lose by counting points
- Building an inefficient engine that doesn't generate enough resources
- Ignoring your captain's strength path and trying to win as if you were someone else

No, Duty and Honor is an expansion and requires a base game among Captain's Chair, To Boldly Go, or Resistance is Futile. With this bundle, you already have everything you need: no need to buy anything else.
