Erune: Heroic expansion takes the dungeon crawler by Quentin Deleau and Arkada Studio to the next level. Each character from the base game can choose one of three unique heroic classes, for a total of 21 different paths. Each has its own talent tree, distinctive abilities, and dedicated spells. Progression becomes radically deeper and more personal.
The expansion adds 8 new side missions that integrate into the main campaign, bringing it from 10 to 18 total quests. These missions introduce a dedicated bestiary: trolls, demons, goblin riders, and many other enemies ready to challenge your heroes. The Ultimate Edition is the definitive version of the expansion, aligned with the new app, updated rules, and all current Erune expansions.

How to Play
The Flow of Each Turn
Erune maintains the structure of the base game, but the heroic classes radically expand tactical options.
Move your hero through the modular dungeon. Choose an action: attack, use a class ability, cast a spell from your heroic set, interact with the dungeon. Choices now depend on the talent tree you have built.
The Spirit of Erune manages events, treasures, encounters, and dialogues. The app knows which class you have chosen and adapts the narration. Questions, choices, consequences: everything goes through professionally voiced audio.
If you play asymmetrically (1 vs all), the Master moves enemies and activates abilities. If you play pure cooperative, the app manages enemy AI. The dedicated bestiary introduces specific mechanics for trolls, demons, and goblin riders.
Every battle won, treasure found, skill acquired improves your hero. At the end of the quest, you gain experience, unlock new talents, and advance in your heroic class tree. The campaign evolves from one mission to the next.

Requires the base game
Erune: Heroic expansion is not standalone. You need Erune – Adventure (or Ultimate Edition) to play. The expansion integrates with the base campaign and almost doubles its duration, but it does not work on its own.
App required
The Erune Spirit voice app is an integral part of the game, not an accessory. A smartphone or tablet with an updated operating system (iOS/Android) is required. Without the app, you cannot play. The experience is designed around voice and dynamic events.
Long campaign commitment
18 total missions mean dozens of hours of campaign. Character progression unfolds over many sessions. It's not a one-shot dungeon crawler: it's a narrative journey that demands continuity from the group and space to evolve heroic classes.

How to win and how to lose
Each mission has specific objectives for adventurers and the Master of Shadows. Whoever completes the most wins the quest.
Victory
- You complete the mission objectives before the Master of Shadows (or the AI)
- You accumulate more victory points at the end of the quest through treasures, abilities, and narrative choices
- You complete the 18-mission campaign and become a legend of Erune
Defeat
- All heroes are eliminated before completing the main objectives
- The Master of Shadows accumulates more victory points than you at the end of the quest
- Narrative events from the app lead to irreversible consequences for the group
What remains after 18 missions is not a game won. It's a story you've built, choice after choice, class after class. Erune asks you to become the hero, not just to play them.
