The FroGames Card
Cecil calls for reinforcements. Four new heroes, six never-before-seen episodes, villains arriving from deep space and other dimensions. The board gets complicated, strategies multiply, Earth needs you.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
New heroes, new threats, same chances of survival
Season 2 brings threats from the ocean, space, and other dimensions. Dupli-Kate, Shrinking Rae, Monster Girl, and Black Samson join the original base game team with unique mechanics and completely new strategies that combine freely with the four original heroes. The expansion enriches the system of Invincible: The Hero-Building Game, the cooperative bag-building game from Dire Wolf based on Robert Kirkman's comics and the Amazon Prime series.
Six new episodes playable in a continuous campaign or mixable with those from the base game, a deck of new Super Powers and Ultimate Powers, Weaken tokens and Falter Cubes that introduce permanent upgrades to your bag. The villains are not messing around this time: they've learned to weaken your powers and strike at the worst moments. Free-form combat means you don't wait for your turn: when you're ready, you fight.

Invincible: The Hero-Building Game, Season 2
The base game officially supports solo play (1-4 players), and Season 2 maintains compatibility. You control more heroes, the free-form system works well even alone, but you lose the live coordination with other players that makes complex combos shine.
The Reinforcements
Four heroes that change the game
Dupli-Kate
Creates copies of herself, can cover multiple zones simultaneously and absorb damage that would knock out other heroes. As long as there is more than one Kate in play, she is almost invincible.
Monster Girl
Each transformation makes her stronger but younger. Unique mechanic that balances brute force with long-term consequences during the campaign.
Black Samson
Veteran hero with tactical support abilities. Boosts allies and coordinates combined attacks against the toughest villains.
Shrinking Rae
Manipulates dimensions to infiltrate, avoid attacks, and hit weak points. Perfect for scenarios where mobility matters more than strength.

How to play
The flow of each round
Free-form system that never makes you wait for your turn: draw when you're ready, fight when you want, coordinate in real time.
Each hero has a personal bag. You draw power tokens, abilities, permanent upgrades (including the new Falter Cubes). What you draw determines what you can do now.
There's no fixed turn. If you have enough power for an effective attack, go. If you prefer to wait for an ally for a combo, you wait. Coordination is live, not on paper.
Freeform combat system: attack when you want, where you want. Villains counterattack, Weaken tokens reduce your powers, civilians must be protected. Multiple zones matter.
Add new Super Powers, decisive Ultimate Powers, permanent Falter Cubes. Your bag grows, strategies refine, subsequent episodes require increasingly strong heroes.

What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Team selection
Eight heroes available (four base + four Season 2), you choose four. Read their unique abilities, imagine combos, someone suggests Dupli-Kate to cover more zones. Someone else wants Monster Girl for brute strength. Ten minutes to decide who will save Earth.
First turns, first hits
Villains arrive from oceans, space, and other dimensions. The free-form system lets you fight when you want: no fixed turn, when you have enough powers you draw and strike. Weaken tokens start appearing on the cards, and you realize this time will be harder.
Coordination under pressure
Monster Girl transforms, Black Samson coordinates a combined attack, Dupli-Kate covers two zones simultaneously. Falter Cubes enter the bag as permanent upgrades, but they can sabotage the crucial moment. Combos work, but the margin of error is zero.
The strike that changes everything
A villain was building up strength for a critical strike. You didn't see it. Dupli-Kate loses a copy, Monster Girl is fully transformed, the civilians to save increase. Someone says, "Let's use the Ultimate Power now or we won't make it to the end." You draw from the bag, cross your fingers.
Shared victory (or defeat)
The last villain falls, or too many civilians die. You'll replay old episodes with new heroes, or immediately tackle the six Season 2 episodes. The campaign continues, choices remain, bags evolve. No one forgets how it went.

Good to know beforehand
Three things you need to know
Base game required
This is an expansion. It is not standalone. You need Invincible: The Hero-Building Game (2024) to play. Season 2 adds heroes, episodes, powers, and villains, but the basic rules and components remain those of the original game.
Initial learning curve for those unfamiliar with the base game
The bag-building system is accessible, the free-form combat is intuitive. But if you've never played the base game, you'll need an introductory game to understand how coordination, timing, and bag management work. Then it flows.
Imminent release, evolving data
Debuting at Gen Con 2026 (July 30–August 2) with a promo card, USA pre-orders the week before, retail immediately after. The mechanics are confirmed, but full reviews and community feedback will come post-launch. This sheet reflects official information available as of July 2026.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
Each episode has specific conditions, but the framework is common: save civilians, defeat villains, don't get eliminated.
Victory
- Defeat all episode villains before the number of dead civilians exceeds the limit
- Complete scenario-specific secondary objectives (vary by episode)
- At least one hero must survive until the end (shared KOs are manageable, total wipeout is defeat)
Defeat
- Too many dead civilians (threshold varies by episode and difficulty)
- All heroes are simultaneously knocked out
- Scenario-specific defeat conditions (timer, lost zones, out-of-control dimensional threats)
New strategies mixing with old heroes, six never-before-seen episodes, unforgiving villains. Season 2 is for those who loved the base game and want to see how far they can push themselves.
